dhoom macha le!

what an ace song! think everyone at works getting a bit fed up of us all singing along to it though, especially when we havent got the pronunciation anywhere near right! oops! it means enjoy yourself (i think!) weve definately been doing that!

this week weve found a new pool thats near to bommasandra so we can go swimming for an hour each morning before work. not sure how long this plan'll last but it seems like a good idea at the mo! the other day nat and i got up at 6am to go swimming and when we got there we had to share the pool with 2 frogs! i dont mind them normally but it was a bit unnerving having them swim around you! bit like a tamer version of fear factor! we eventually got rid of them and carried on!

had a pretty cool week really, wednesday and yesterday we went out and had quite big nights, thursday i met some interesting people from different textile companies and ended up having lunch with them all at the leela, and also the MD at our factory finally decided to see me after 2weeks of doing nothing! im sure other things happened too but i really cant remember, im too tired to think straight!

on tuesday im off to hyderabad for this exhibition, im quite excited about going. i saw the brochure for it the other day and my page is so bad, everythings wrong in it, my name, date of birth, im mentioned as a 'he' which im pretty sure im not(!), i have no qualifications down or my email address and all the contact phone numbers are not mine. great! im tempted to print a page off for myself then slip it inside the brochure then at least if anyones interested then they could actually get in touch! chuh!

cess came back last night from travelling, shes back till tues and it was so cool to see her in cosmo last night! we all got very girly and giggly! it was ace!

not really doing much today, just pottering round, shopping as usual, whats new eh?! i started this blog thinking i had loads to say but turns out i dont really! so im sorry, ive just chatted crap as usual to fill up the space!

.....and a plate of curly carrots!

had a really cool day today, we did nothing! nat and i went out last night and it was a bit of a heavy one, saw lots of people and had a good old boogie too! woke up feeling ming, so went to mcdonalds! (such a chav!) and then decided to go to the taj westend and sunbathe, swim and generally recover! it was so nice. while at the pool i ordered some food and the garnish on the side-curly strips of carrots! hehe. they were ace! i was more impressd by them than the main food! oops!

anyway, my entry today is like me - short and sweet! :-P hehe.

the exhibitionist is back!

im now busy preparing for my next exhibition in Hydrabad. it starts on the 27th april till 1st may, hopefully surya (my friend from work) and i are going to go to see it then have a look round hydrabad and possibly go to his native place too which im really excited about! will be wicked to go to a proper indian house and meet his family! cant wait! I ws so excited i went out to buy a bag! hehe. this is actually a bag with a function as its a backpack so when i travel to hydrabad and go travelling later on i have a big backpack and a smaller one! i always seem to find a reason to buy a bag just so that i feel better about buying it i think! at work today my mates were really mean and asked me the dreaded question, "what do you prefer bags or shoes?!" argh! ive still not come up with an answer!!

Yesterday our dean from the uni in england came out to visit us and it was really nice to actually be asked "hows it going?" and someone from the uni paying interest to us. It was all very formal at work and then he took us out for a meal and a drink later on where we could all relax and talk to him properly. he was a really interesting guy and had a good night! as usual we ended up in cosmo right at the end of the night! ahhh my home away from home! Should be going there tomorrow too, in my new sandle wedges! yaya! they make me so tall i can actually look down on people for once, its a strange feeling! :-P

back in banaglore again!

pondicherry was so nice, very hot though, really muggy, *yuck!*

our journey there was fine, there was no hindi movie playing thankfully and the reclinng chairs went back quite a way and i managed to sleep loads. (this isnt hard for me as most of you will know! i can sleep anywhere!) when we arrived in pondy at 5:30am we went to book our return tickets for the sunday night after being promised "100%'" that there would be places. we were told that all the coach companies were full so we'd have to return either that night or monday. we trudged our way round about 5 companies all saying no untill the last one said we could have 2 seats but they would be behind the driver, in his cabin, on a bench! we said yes cos we needed to get back and also we could have proper seats if anyone cancelled.

anyway, we then found a really nice hotel and at only rs480 (6 quid i think! wow that just suprised me!!) a night it was a bargain! pondy streets were a mixture of indian and french and most people came up to us speaking french! i did try a little bit but confused some people when i told them "j'ai trez ans!!" nat also kept saying pickles in french too, but that was thanks to our friend patrice!! never mind! we found a really nice french bakery and had croisants for breakfast and went there quite a few times during our stay mainly cos it was air conditioned!

we saw the ashram, a bontanical garden, the indian notre dame (!!) and the ganesh temple where i tried to give an elephant one rupee so he could bless me, but instead it just snotted on me! nice! we also visited 2 really nice beaches one that was rocky and the other was sandy. it was so nice on the sandy one, there was a special area roped off for the white people so we could sunbathe in bikinis and not offend anyone (i didnt attempt a bikini, think that would have offended even the white people!! :-p). i did actually walk on the beach, as some of you that have been on holiday with me will know i really dont like sand, especially sand mixed with water so this was a great feat for me! i walked along the beach, SAT on the beach and even paddled!! india's definately changing me!! hehe.

2 important activites this weekend were eating and shopping! we found some lovely restaurants (except for the last night! dont go to the seagulls cafe whatever you do!! *bleugh!*) and even better shops! got a few things, mainly to go in my crate to ship home in the summer!

last night we made our way to the coach place dreading our journey, the guy behind the desk kept us sitting to one side right untill the last minute when he handed us our tickets, grinning. we looked down and instead of saying "behind the driver" they said seats 19/20! we got on the bus and to make it even better it was a sleeper not a semi-sleeper so nat and i got a double bed to share! ace! what a great way to end a perfect trip! :-D

just off to meet cess's parents in cosmo now, so better be on my bestest behaviour! or else!

ou est le pondicherry?!

had quite a cool week. its only me and nat (sorry nat and i for those of you who check up on my grammar! :-P you know who you are!) that are around at the mo the others have either left or away with their parents so weve had some quality time together!

wednesday was ace we both had invitations to the Tommy Hilfiger launch party for their spring/summer 2005 collection. so we dolled ourselves up as best we could and then tottered off to that party! i had a really nice meal before hand with seamus then went to the party and met nat later on. it was an open bar which was cool! :-S didnt get home till the wee hours of the morning after going back to a mates house! i got very few hours sleep and then had to get up bright and early for work! *groan!* nat and i made it through the day though which was quite impressive!

tonight we are going away for 2 days to a place called pondicherry, its on the east coast and is quite french apparently. should be nice as long as it doesnt rain too much, its been minging the last few days! we are travelling on a semi-sleeper bus but i forgot to check if its one that plays hindi movies at full blast all night while we are travelling! i really hope not! another problem is that im gonna be travelling for 8hours on a bus without a loo with dehli belly! argh! ah well its character building! (our answer for everything!!!)

right well gotta go and catch the bus with nat for our little holiday! yaya! hopefully i wont snore too much and she'll get some sleep!

arevior for now! (gotta practice my french for this place! dont think my "ou est le bon marche" will get me very far in india!!! :-S)

back to bangalore...

well my adventures over (and so is all of my designated leave! :-( ) i had an ace time in kerela and it was so fun showing my parents and their friends round bangalore to all my regular spots!

it was a shame to leave our 4 and 5 * hotels behind as my parents left to go home and i went back to bommasandra but hey, bommasandras still home to me! it felt weird saying bye to them last night at the airport then saying bye to cess today, she left to go to kerela to meet her family and has properly left the factory and bommasandra appart from popping back for the odd day here and there. ive got 4 months left out here and im gonna make the most of it, not looking forward to leaving, but dont really want to think about it, i just just wanna have maximum ammount of fun with my time left! hence the fact that im off to cosmo tomorrow!! hehe. need to catch up on a weeks lost time! had a brill time at leela yesterday, it was my parents and colin and sue's last day in india so i thought we should live it up at the champagne brunch!! it was so much fun and even seamus, rob and ajay managed to behave themselves MOST of the time! :-p i think i got off quite lightly anyway! hehe.

back to work tomorrow although not sure if ive got much to do so could be a fairly relaxing day trying to plan my trip away with nat at the weekend cos we actually get TWO yes TWO days off at the weekend, saturday and sunday! woohoo! part-ay!!! cant wait!
