i was just wondering......when you type words without clicking in the space that they are supposed to go, where do they go?! the internet must be full of unused letters that never got entered into anywhere!

katies catchup.

long time no post once more! last week mum, dad and i went to putney to have a little look at putney. we checked out the local area and some houses too. i found some really nice ones and the people were really friendly too. cant wait to live down there now, seems like a well nice place! at least ive been given a starting date for work now, its 31st july! :-) we also went to kew gardens. dad reassured us that it wasnt going to be too expensive cos when he went with his mum and dad it only cost an old penny! when we turned up at the gate, it was £11, each! (£8 for students! :-S) we did spend 4hours there tho cos the sun was shining and the weather was sweet!

on wednesday we went to the NEC to see War of the Worlds by Jeff Wayne. it was fantastic! the set design was done by Johnathon Park (who did the set design for pink floyd) Jeff Wayne was conducting, Justin Hayward (moody blues) did his songs as well as Russell Watson and some others who i didnt know! Richard Burton's voice was still used for the narration and they had a huge head suspended from the ceiling with a face super-imposed mouthing the words. it was a really great night!

on thursday i moved back to lufbra to do some work before people arrived at the weekend. got a bit done (i finished my weaving on wed) and then anna and sam and rikster arrived on fri. had a chillaxing night. then on the sat rfa came back, as did mattay and michelle and keira came over. we went for a meal to salims for an indian to celebrate riksters birthday, then moved onto the phantom beore trying out rain (a new nightclub that we hadnt been to yet). it was such a good night and great laugh seeing everyone! had a good time catching up and boogieing!

thats about it for now, back to the grindstone on monday!

hubble bubble toil and trubble!

not this isnt a set of witches below its me and the college crew in the hottub!!

friday night was really fun cos the college crew girlies all came over for the hottub, food and drinks! cant get much better than that can ya eh?! we had a good old catch up and lazed around!

BECKY, KAZ, ME, LIZZIBETH & LAURA

not much more has happened really. mum dad and i went to stratford upon avon and nottingham on various days and had a few trips to lufbra (exciting!! :-S). im still not sleeping very well which is doing my head in! the other night i didnt sleep at all, ive got too much on my mind, im not stressed just thinking about lots! my weaving's going, (slowly), but its going! i dyed my hair today and so im a feisty redhead again! its easter day but i didnt get any easter eggs! (got other presents instead!) at easter when ur meant to stuff ur face with choc i never feel like it for some reason! weird eh?! i did get one cadburys creme egg tho from church which was a good incentive to go! :-P hehe. another thing i did today (its not very interesting) but i bit my tongue and it hurt so much more than when i got my tongue pierced! how weird is that?! biting it makes u cry but putting a metal bar through it is fine! :-S not really got much more to say, its a slow news day but i felt like typing, so type i did!

still a cheesy pop girl at heart! :-S

on saturday we had a woodlands night out in lufbra, well i say woodlands night out, the 'woodlands' bit has now shrunk to rew, sanj and me but never mind it was still an ace night! one of the best ive had in lufbra yet! we went to the orange tree and newshouse first where we met up with damith and ant and then due to a certain level of drunkness we ended up in echos! :-S ooooh dear! it was especially bad cos it wasnt a rock night so i was subjected to steps, sclub 7, 5ive, westlife and stuff like that! there were a few soft rock type songs that they played but it wasnt enough to turn me back into a rock chick for the night! i was stuck as a cheesy pop lovin girlie! hehe. they played all the classics: 'i would walk 500miles'.........'ymca'.......'summer of 69'.........'livin on a prayer'......'lets get ready to rhumble'.....you get the message! and it was great, ive not had a proper night out in echos, where ive not thought where the hell am i in a long long time! was well worth it!

we woke up the next day nursing hangovers! its really sad cos now im getting old (:-P) id rather stay in than go out and get drunk cos i dont want the hangover the next day! forget the night out you get with it, i dont want to be ill the next day! now, ive tried going out sober and when you end up in echos or the union you see too much! when youve had a bit to drink you only see what u wanna see, when ur sober you see it all and it aint pretty!!!! also i wake up dead early when ive been drinking, i went to bed at about 4am and then woke up at 9am and couldnt get back to sleep! grr!

mum sent me a text saying that her and dad were going to help a mate up some locks on his cannal boat 'and it would be fun if you could join us!' i agreed without thinking quite how much effort goes into opening a lock (and i dont mean a key in a door, i mean huge big gaps of water that you steer the boat into, open the paddles on the gates, let gallons of water rush in to lift/lower the boat up/down the hill to the level of water you want to be at, then push open the gates for the boat to pass through) its blimmin hard work! you can just see them below they are the black and white things in the distance. i also hadnt realised that there were 24locks at hatton! luckily there werent enough lock keys for me to have one so i just leant on the gates untill they started to open on their own and it made me look like i was doing something!!!!

when we had got the boat up the flight of locks it started to rain quite heavily and hailing too so we went on the guy who dad knows' boat and had our picnic! the photo below was taken before the british weather took a turn for the worse!

THE CANNAL (not really much more to say on this!!)

by the time we'd eaten it had been raining for a few hours, id had a bit of sloe gin which tasted quite strong to me (it added to the alcohol still in my system!) and i joked about it being slippy and i was as usual wearing suitable stuff! :-S as in converse trainers that have no grip at all and my trousers that drag on the floor cos im too short! and, surprise surpirse i fell over on the way back to the car!! i had mud all down the side of me and cos my shoes were canvas they soaked up all the freezing muddy water mess and absolutely froze me!!! brr! luckily i didnt get any on the car when i sat down which was what mum and dad were worried about!! :-P and when i got home, got warmed up and had a little sleep to get rid of a bit more of the hangover!!

today i didnt get up till midday and then did a bit of weaving and chillaxed and thought about my degree show which is really creeping up on me way too fast now! :-S argh!

weaver beaver!

just to let you know im still on this planet and aint got trapped in my loom or anything! ive just not really been up to much, i could possibly be turning into a hermit! all the time im in the house im weaving! standing up in my room clattering and banging around! the only times i get a break is when theres summit better than weaving to watch on the tv or do outside; alot of this that appeals to me tho so i havent really been weaving at much at all! i.e watching deal or no deal or neighbours, or going shopping etc!

i started this post trying to get the sympathy vote but there really isnt much point!! :-P

ah well never mind! (pretty pointless post really but hey!)

hit, miss or maybe!

gosh i miss live and kicking on a saturday morning! whats happened to kids tv now?! its so lame, im sure ours wasnt that bad was it?! anyways im gonna take the game hit, miss or maybe from it for my post!

1) ive been cooking! i know! wow! pretty impressive for me! it all started on fri when i said id cook for mum and dad, so i made them mexican fajitas (cant spell it but you know what i mean!) and it went perfectly, no problems, nothing was burnt! woohoo! think its the first full meal ive cooked on my own completely and im 21! also today i made a waldorf salad to go with the bbq! whats happening to me?! im turning domisticated! ill give this section a huge yummy:

2) i was reading a book that completely got me hooked! it was called 'the other side of the story' and was typical chicklit (oh dear!) and follwed 3 different people and how their lives interlocked towards the end. it was all going really well untill the last chapter where the author wrapped up 2 of the girls stories but left one and it wasnt like it could be left, it just looked like she got fed up or ran out of time. hmm! this section gets an annoyed:

3) ive finally finished threading up my loom at last so ive got 3weeks to weave 8yards! argh! it seems ok and should weave fine im hoping. this means that i cant laze around anymore cos although the weaving still hurts my back i cant skive away from the weaving, but as a bonus i cant loose sleep over not doing it cos its too noisy to weave at night while mum and dad are sleeping! no rest for the wicked eh?! this gets an unsure whether its a good or bad:

4) yesterday it was kaz's birthday so we went out to chiquitos to a meal. it was really cool seeing becky and kaz again cos i havent seen them for yonks! it was more mexican food which is ace and the time just flew by as we gabbled away with all our new news! (ah just figured out that news is just 'new' with an 's' on the end! hmm!) anyway sorry am not sleeping much at the mo (ill get to that next!). kaz's birthday and the meals gets a big fat mexican:

5) ive not been sleeping very well recently. think its cos i dont usually go to bed in lufbra till about 1am and when i feel tired at uni and try to go to sleep earlier i just lie there awake which is really really fustrating! hopefully ill sleep better tonight cos i actually woke up at 10am ON A SUNDAY! chuh! never mind this gets a yawning:

6) yesterday i got a new posh phone! its a well nice sony ericsson k750i (if that means anything to anyone?! it does to me and thats what matters i guess!) it also means that ive finally sorted out my contract so no more hefty monthly bills! this gets a money saving:
